Hi how do u get the colour black for the icing. Is it buttercream icing?

  2. maya Says:

percicilan: yes it’s buttercream so it’s very sweet. heh. i used almost one whole bottle of black paste. my sister said her friends’ tongues all got purplish. haha.

black paste is like black colouring? Or if I go to any bakery supply shop they know what black paste is ?
    ur cakes are lovely :)

  4. maya Says:

yeah i mean black colouring but in gel/paste form. it’s more potent than liquid colouring. thanks, but there’s still much much room for improvement. :)

Ohh, the emo thing. Been there XD. I’m a bit suspicious of black icing myself, but these are adorable!

    hello!

    nice cupcakes!

    what camera are you using?

If you aren’t purposely staying away from chocolate you can cut way back on the amount of black food coloring by getting a rich dark chocolate icing first using cocoa powder and then adding a little bit of the black food color. So much faster & easier. Learned that after I made several penguin sugar cookies.

    Maya,
I tried making buttercream icing and it is too sweet to swallow.
Is there any other ways I can make cupcake icing which is not too sweet?

Maya.. oh man.. customized cupcakes for an emo teen huh. looks like a great job done! black icing certainly is a bit intimidating though. hehe.
